haha, I know what you mean. I can barely keep Sharpie pens around bc I use them so much! My youngest daughter ~kittykitkit102 uses pen and Sharpie as well, hates pencil and crayon. But, my oldest daughter ~fakechowder loves pencil and colored pencils, hates pen and markers.
Cool, thanks for checking out their stuff. My youngest draws non-stop. She even will pull out her old drawings and re-draw them months later just to see how much her skills have improved! Yes, they see me draw a lot, so I guess that helps.
I really like the song The Red, and I absolutely love this. I like how the ground almost seems like it's turning into the monster, rather than the monster breaking out. And then the sky being on fire.. it is a very visually striking piece!
Really nice art, as feedback goes there's nothing negative to say! Generally not such a fan of red and yellow together but it works well here, thou me being me would love to see it some different colour combos
Thanks very much! Good or bad, I always love to hear what people have to say and you are very kind. The series is going to have red as the main color in each piece. The yellow is to accent the time of day or lighting in each of the pieces it is used in. I normally do very colorful works, if you browse through my gallery you will see. Just not feeling the bold colors right now and wanted to do something new.
It's really all good, I love that piece, it's colourful for sure, and I like the way the yellow is echoed in the light coming from the little house, it's what ties it all in I guess. Do you ever work digitally also? I have a terrible habit of being indecisive with colours and i end up scanning in a drawing and once I start fiddling can soon up with about 5 versions of the same thing , perhaps you will see that in my own gallery and also my love of colours, I really like your work thanks for sharing
Thanks very much! I try to keep the colors in this Series to a minimum so that you notice the little things like the lights on in the cabin windows or the red flower in the snow. Nope, not a digital artist at all, never was. When it comes to color, it comes to me immediately. I'm very straightforward and I either like it or hate it. I will def check out your gallery as well!
